Quick Take
The Navigator NV352 has been the default budget vacuum recommendation for over a decade, and it is still here because it still cleans. The Lift Away canister handles stairs and cars, the sealed HEPA system helps allergies, and the suction embarrasses vacuums twice the price. Heavy and corded, yes, but unbeatable for the money.

Quality
The NV352 is a bagless upright with a detachable Lift Away canister, a clever design that turns the upright into a portable cleaner for stairs, cars and upholstery. The HEPA filter and sealed system genuinely help allergy sufferers, and the brush roll shutoff protects bare floors. Construction is mostly plastic, but the design has survived over a decade of production because the core engineering, strong suction and the Lift Away mechanism, is sound.
Value
At around $160 the Navigator is one of the best values in floor care. It cleans as well as uprights costing twice as much, and its longevity is legendary: owners routinely report a decade of service. Dyson and Shark’s own cordless models offer more convenience, but nothing touches the Navigator’s cleaning per dollar. For a primary household vacuum on a budget, it is the default recommendation.
Who Should Buy It
Buy it if you want maximum cleaning power per dollar and do not mind a cord.
Who Should Skip It
Skip it if you need cordless convenience or have a multi level home with lots of stairs.
FINAL VERDICT
The NV352 is proof that good design ages well. A decade on, it still outcleans most of what big box stores sell for twice the price. If you can live with a cord, this is the smartest vacuum money in the business.
