Quick Take
The second generation Mini packs genuine percussive therapy into a one pound device with three speeds and Bluetooth guided routines. It cannot match a full size Theragun for deep work, but for travel and daily maintenance it is excellent.
What We Like
- 12mm amplitude delivers real percussive therapy, not just vibration
- Weighs just 1 pound and fits in a gym bag or carry on
- Three speeds from 1750 to 2400 percussions per minute
- 120 minute battery life with USB C recharging
- Bluetooth app integration with guided recovery routines
What We Don’t Like
- Less stall force than full size Theragun models
- $199.99 is pricey next to capable budget massage guns
- Only three attachments included in the box
- One year device warranty is short for the price

Quality
The triangle grip is ergonomic and the aluminum body feels premium and dense for its size. Three attachments (dampener, standard ball, thumb) cover most muscle groups, and the LED speed indicator is clear mid session. The soft case is a nice touch for travel.
Value
At $199.99 it costs double many budget massage guns, and cheaper devices have closed the gap. You are paying for Therabody’s motor quality, app ecosystem, and build. If you travel constantly or value the guided routines, it justifies the premium; casual users can spend less.
Who Should Buy It
Buy it if you train regularly, travel often, and want recovery tools that fit in a carry on.
Who Should Skip It
Skip it if you want maximum power for deep tissue work; the full size Prime or Pro hits harder.
FINAL VERDICT
The Theragun Mini 2nd Gen is the best travel massage gun from a major brand: compact, well built, and genuinely effective. The price and power tradeoffs are real, but for on the go recovery it is the one to beat.
