Quick Take

The Loftie replaces your phone alarm with a purpose built sleep device: a two phase alarm that wakes you gradually, science backed sleep sounds, and a Bluetooth speaker for good measure. At $199.99 it is expensive for an alarm clock, but owners rate it 4.8 stars for a reason. If your phone is ruining your sleep, this is the fix.

What We Like

  • Two phase alarm wakes you gently instead of jolting you
  • Excellent library of sleep sounds, meditations, and breathwork
  • Doubles as a Bluetooth speaker for the bedroom
  • Adjustable nightlight and blackout mode for dark rooms
  • 4.8 star average across more than 1600 reviews

What We Don’t Like

  • $199.99 is a lot for an alarm clock
  • Some content requires a Loftie+ subscription
  • Full features need a 2.4GHz wifi connection

Quality

The clock itself is handsome: a compact fabric wrapped unit with a steel top grille that looks like decor, not a gadget. The display dims to nothing in blackout mode, buttons are tactile and simple, and the speaker quality is genuinely good for its size. It feels like a considered wellness product.

Value

Two hundred dollars for an alarm clock sounds absurd until you price the alternative: poor sleep. Against the Hatch Restore at a similar price, the Loftie holds its own with better sound content. It is a luxury, but a defensible one for chronic bad sleepers.

Who Should Buy It

Buy it if you sleep with your phone and wake up scrolling, and want your bedroom back.

Who Should Skip It

Skip it if you already sleep well with a $20 alarm clock and have no phone habit to break.

FINAL VERDICT

The Loftie is the rare wellness gadget that addresses a real problem with real craft. Expensive, yes, but it might be the best $200 your mornings ever see.
