The case finishing is simple but honest, with clean brushing and a well executed sunburst dial that catches light beautifully. Hardlex crystal resists scratches reasonably, and the exhibition back shows off the workhorse 7S26. It does not feel luxurious, but it feels real in a way quartz fashion watches never do.

Around $200 to $230 from sellers like Jomashop, this remains the cheapest credible entry into automatic watches. Nothing new at this price offers a mechanical movement, a day date, and this much character. Discontinuation has firmed prices, but it is still a bargain for what it is.
