Quick Take

The Osmo Pocket 3 pairs a one inch CMOS sensor with a three axis gimbal in a body smaller than most phones. It shoots 4K at up to 120 frames per second, tracks subjects with ActiveTrack, and the screen rotates to power the camera on. Street prices have fallen well below launch since the Pocket 4 arrived, which is great news for buyers.

Quality

The gimbal moves with a smooth, damped precision that feels far more expensive than the price suggests. The two inch rotating touchscreen is bright and crisp, and the body feels dense and solid in hand. The fixed 20mm equivalent lens is sharp edge to edge.

Value

At $439 the Pocket 3 costs far less than its launch price and far less than any interchangeable lens setup with a gimbal. The Creator Combo adds the wireless mic and extra battery that serious vloggers want, and it frequently goes on sale. For travel and daily vlogging, nothing else this small shoots this well.

You’ll Love It If

Vloggers, travel creators, and families who want video that looks far better than phone footage.

Skip It If

Anyone who needs optical zoom, a viewfinder, or who is uncomfortable with the DJI app ecosystem.

FINAL VERDICT

The Pocket 3 remains the easiest way to get cinematic stabilized footage without learning a camera. Buy it on sale and you are getting one of the best value video tools ever made.
