Quick Take
The AirPods 4 with Active Noise Cancellation bring ANC to Apple’s open fit design for the first time. The H2 chip powers solid noise reduction, Adaptive Audio and Conversation Awareness, and the case adds wireless charging plus a Find My speaker. Battery life is short at 4 hours with ANC on, and the open fit means bass and isolation trail the AirPods Pro. With AirPods 5 now on the scene, buy these on sale, where they often drop near 120 dollars.

Quality
The redesigned contour fits more ears comfortably than any open AirPods before, and the shorter stem looks cleaner. The case is Apple’s smallest ever and feels great. Sound quality is a clear step up from older non Pro AirPods, with better clarity and low end.
Value
List price is 179 dollars but street prices hover around 120, which is the price to pay. At sale pricing they are a strong buy for iPhone users who hate silicone tips. At full list, wait for the AirPods 5.
