Quality
The 3S reuses the Quest 2 style body and fresnel lenses, which keeps costs down but narrows the sweet spot and adds god rays compared to pancake lenses. Everything else feels current: solid plastics, comfortable strap, and controllers that track flawlessly. The 2.5 hour battery is typical for the category. It looks and feels like a $350 product that plays like a $500 one.
Value
Even at $349.99, nothing else offers this performance per dollar. The Quest 3 costs $250 more for better lenses and resolution, which is worth it for enthusiasts but overkill for newcomers. PSVR2 needs a PlayStation. For standalone VR on a budget, the 3S is the only answer.

Buy it if you are VR curious and want the real thing without the real money. It is also perfect as a second headset or a gift.
