The Vertuo Next is the slimmest machine in the Vertuo lineup, with a 37 ounce water tank tucked behind a compact body. The chrome accents look sharp on the counter, and the three position drip tray handles everything from espresso cups to travel mugs. Build quality is decent for the price, though it feels lighter than premium rivals.
Value
At one sixty nine the base Vertuo Next undercuts most decent espresso machines by a wide margin, and the Premium and Deluxe versions add nicer finishes for one seventy nine and one ninety nine. The real cost is the capsules, which run well above a dollar per serving. If you drink two cups a day, the machine pays for itself against cafe prices in a few months.
